Allan
MacCurrach, Jr., 58, of Jacksonville, FL died January 14, 1997 while on a
business trip to Palm Springs. He was a senior agronomist for the PGA Tour for more than
22 years. He was internationally recognized for his expertise in the Turf Management
field, honed through years as golf course superintendents at carious courses. As a member
of the Golf Course Superintendents Association, he was the first in his field to earn the
title of Certified Golf Course Superintendent. He is survived by his wife Carol, a
daughter and a son Allan III '85 and 2 grandchildren. |

Richard N.
Rossi, 59, of Northampton, died November 7, 1997 at the Cooley Dickinson
Hospital. At the time of his death he was director of Food Service at UMass. He was also a
food consultant to the NY Giants National Football League Team. He leaves his wife Sandra,
2 sons, a daughter, his mother, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. |
