| Joseph L. Dirico, 74, of Marlboro died May 7, 1997 in
Worcester. He served in Army Air Corps Bomb Squadrons in Europe during WWII and was a
prisoner of war part of the time. After graduation from Stockbridge, he was employed by
the city of Marlboro until his retirement in 1989. He served for many years as
superintendent of forestry and parks. He stayed on after retirement as tree warden and a
member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, both positions which he held at the time of
his death. He held memberships in many organizations, most especially those having to do
with his military service and prisoner status. Besides his wife Lillian, he is survived by
3 sons, 4 daughters and 13 grandchildren. |

| Andrew G. Ketchen, Jr., 67, of S. Lee died July 15,
1996. For many years he owned and operated a dairy farm. In 1970 he began the Ketchen Tree
and Lumber Company, a business from which he retired in 1991. He leaves his wife Alice, 4
children and 5 grandchildren. |

Raymond J.
Morocco, 78, of N. Adams died November 20, 1997 after an illness. he served in
the Army Air Corps during WWII and participated in bombing missions all over the Pacific
theater. After graduating in 1949, he returned to Clarksburg and helped manage the family
greenhouse business. later he was employed by Windsor Print Works, Arnold Print Works, and
finally Adams Print Works where he served for more than 25 years, retiring in 1981.
Following his retirement, he was employed as a school crossing guard until 1995. Besides
his wife Theresa, he leaves a son and a grandson. |

| Gordon Scotland, 66, of Barre, formerly of Ashland, died
February 24, 1997 in Worcester. For more than 25 years he and his wife ran the Renwall
Farm Stand in Ashland retiring in 1985, when they moved to Barre. He was a member of the
Alpha Masonic Lodge in Framingham and ATG. Besides his wife Lucille, he leaves a son, 2
daughters and 7 grandchildren. |
