George F.
Cavanaugh, 85, of Hanover and Saquish died October 12, 1997 after a brief
illness. George wore many hats in his lifetime. He founded the Four Seasons Decorators
family business in Hanover, worked at Bethlehem Steel in Quincy, and was owner and
operator of Cedar Springs Dairy in Norwell. He was a call firefighter in Norwell in the
'30s and '40s, a part-time police officer in Norwell until '63 then became full-time until
retiring from that position in '67. he also served as a water commissioner in Norwell in
the '50s and'60s. George was a founding incorporator of the Gurnet-Saquish Beach
Association and had one of the original homes there. He was a member of ATG. His wife
predeceased him. He is survived by 2 sons, 3 daughters, 12 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren. |

| Lisle J. Hebert, 85, of Westfield, died January 8, 1997
at Noble Hospital. He was a 35 year employee of the former Gladwin and Lane Company. His
wife predeceased him. He leaves 2 sons, one daughter, 12 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren. |
