| Warren A. Batchelor, 88, of Stoughton, MA died November
16, 1995 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was ill for a long time
before his death. Until his retirement, he had been a bookkeeper at Deacon Plumbing
Company in Stoughton. In addition to his wife Gloria, he leaves 3 nephews and 2 nieces. |

| Bradford H. Butler, 91, of Augusta, ME, died October 16,
1997 in Augusta. In '30, he received a degree from Iowa Wesleyan College, and was a '31
graduate of the New England Institute of Anatomy and Science in Boston. He spent 6 years
working for the F.J. Crosby Funeral Home in Boston before going into business for himself.
From '39 to '81 he owned and operated the H.I. Young and Company Funeral Home in Franklin,
NH. He was active in the Funeral Directors Association, the Rotary Club, the Masons, the
Boy Scouts, and in his church. He was an ATG member. His wife predeceased him. He is
survived by a son, 2 daughters, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. |

| Charles G. Kellogg, 88, died January 1, 1997 at his home
in Benson, VT where he lived all his life. He served as town clerk and was the founding
fire chief of the Benson Fire Department. He was active in the Masons holding several
offices. Besides his wife Lena, he is survived by 2 sons, 4 grandchildren and 5
great-grandchildren. |

We are very sorry to report that Thomas W.
Lawson, one of our most active and loyal alumnus, died October 2, 1996. Tom was
struck by a car in front of his home in Lunenburg, MA. Until his retirement he was owner
and operator of the Sunshine Dairy Farm. He was very active in the Stockbridge Alumni
Association. Tom was a founding trustee of the Jim Crockett Fund and continued serving
until the time of his death; he also served on the board of ATG, Inc. He was a 50 year Boy
Scout volunteer, a life member of the Lions Club holding many positions with that
organization and receiving 3 of its highest awards, most active in Grange affairs, a
member of the Masons and of the Odd Fellows. He was also an active member of many
historical societies including the Sturbridge Village Association. He was also very active
in a number of conservation organizations. His wife Florence, a wonderful supporter of
Stockbridge alumni, died in August 1996 as the result of a stroke. A son survives him
along with 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. |

| John C. Ripley, 88, of Weymouth, MA died November 22,
1995 at New England Medical Center in Boston. For many years, he and his wife Eleanor
owned and operated John C. Ripley Florist in S. Weymouth. He was also a wholesaler at the
Boston Flower Mart. He was a member of Weymouth United Masonic Lodge. He maintained homes
in both Weymouth and Nokomis, FL. His wife predeceased him. He leaves 2 sons, 6
grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. |
