| Helen Clara (Veselak) Casio, 97, of W. Hartford, died
October 27, 1997 in Simsbury, CT. Before her marriage she was a 4-H county club agent for
Barnstable County on Cape Cod leaving to work with her husband at the Peter J. Cascio
Nurseries in W. Hartford, CT. She was active in all phases of horticulture, holding many
memberships and serving as officer in both state and national organizations and
associations. In addition, she was the recipient of a number of prestigious awards and
authored a number of popular publications. She is survived by 3 sons, one daughter, 8
grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
